PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory casting having no defects by increasing the pressure of a specified amt. of gas closed hermetically in the upper spaces of a main molten metal chamber and an auxiliary molten metal chamber thereby maintaining the molten metal at a specified level at all times. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd pressure cylinder 12 is extended to increase the pressure of the gas in the 2nd hermetic chamber 8 and a diaphragm 11 to tap a specified amt. of the 1st time of a molten metal through a pouring hole 5 then the diaphragm 11 is returned to the original state. The 1st pressure cylinder 10 is then extended to increase the pressure of the gas in the 1st hermetic chamber 7 and a diaphragm 9 to lift the molten metal level in the hole 5 and an auxiliary molten metal chamber 4b up to the level position prior to tapping. The cylinder 12 is extended to increase the pressure in the chamber 8 and the diaphragm 11 to perform the 2nd tapping. The diaphragm 11 is returned to the original position and thereafter the 3rd tapping is performed. |
