PURPOSE:To attain efficient data transfer by using the result of comparison between a main storage bank number transmitting already a data transfer request and a main storage bank number on the verge of transmitting it so as to avoid the standby state in multiplex operation of an input/output device. CONSTITUTION:When the 1st data transfer request from an input/output device is generated in control lines 41a-41d via an input/output port section, the request is selsected by a selecting means according to the predetermined order at an input/output port section. This selected input/output port number is outputted to a line 53 and a selected bank number is stored in a bank number storage register 82. Further, if the 2nd data transfer request exists, the content of bank number storage registers 100a-100d is compared with the content of the register 82, and its result is inputted to a priority discriminating circuit 51. Then the request to a busy bank is masked and the priority is discrimianted only for a bank being not busy.
