PURPOSE:To prepare pharmaceutical preparation of immunoglobulin having low anticomplementary unit and high stability, by subjecting corn fraction II to chromatography of weakly acidic cation exchanger, collecting gammaglobulin fraction, removing efficiently agglomerate and its precursor. CONSTITUTION:Corn fraction II, namely gammaglobulin fraction obtained by ethanol fractionation of corn, is subjected to chromatography of weakly acidic cation exchanger(e.g., CM cellulose, Diaion WK10, etc.), gammaglobulin fraction is collected and purified. The concentration of corn fraction is preferably 3- 10wt% calculated as protein concentration. Immunoglobulin is useful for agammaglobulinemia, German measles, vaccinia, etc., but easily agglomerated to cause side effects. Pharmaceutical preparation of immunoglobulin by this invention has neither agglomerate nor fraction to form easily agglomerate, has low anticomplementary unit, and extemely high stability.
