PURPOSE:To perform annealing without decrease in annealing efficiency, by installing a vertically movable block for adjusting plating bath level in a tank for melting metal, and by making the metal wire rod to be treated travel freely in the vertical direction within the plating bath. CONSTITUTION:The time, during which a metal wire rod omega to be plated and annealed is immersed in a plating liq. 9 so as to be annealed sufficiently at need, is determined in accordance with the annealing characteristics and the diameter of the wire rod omega. The traveling speed is kept at a sufficiently high level, and the immersion traveling length which secures above described immersion time is determined. A level-adjusting block 2 is moved vertically, entering into, or leaving from, the metal-melting tank 1 so as to keep the immersion traveling length constant. That is, the immersion traveling length for the wire rod omega to be treated is adjusted easily at need by the vertical motion of the block 2. Consequently excellent annealing is performed in accordance with the quality and diameter of the wire rod omega without decrease in linear velocity, i.e., the efficiency of annealing. |
