<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a device with a simple construction, high accuracy and low cost and possible for inputting the coordinate of a designated position by a finger etc. by detecting the component of an external force applied to one point on a panel face at four positions on the panel face to detect the coordinate of a point applied with an external force. CONSTITUTION:The means is provided, which detects the component of an external force applied to one point of the panel face is detected at four positions on the panel face to detect the coordinate of the point applied with an external force. for example, a stainless-steel-made elastic plate is fitted to each corner of a plate glass-made input board 1 and a semiconductor strain gauge is fixed to one side of the elastic plate to form detecting points 3-1-3-4 of the component.
