PURPOSE:To improve the utilizing efficiency by providing a transmission control means transmitting picture information in succession to other picture information while keeping the line when the latter picture information set with the same address as the former picture information exists at the point of time of the completion of the transmission of the former picture information. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a network control circuit 1f controlling a transmission network such as telephone line network so as to establish or disconnect the transmission line, a scanner 1a, a printer 1b, a buffer 1c, a code companding circuit 1d, an MODEM 1e, and a CPU (central processing unit) controlling respectively the network control circuit 1f and a management information adding circuit 1g. Then after the transmission processing is finished, table search is applied again so as to check whether or not a transmission file having the same address exists. If such transmission file exists and if the searched transmission file is in the state of the presence of transmission request, whether or not the mode is a time designation transmission mode is discriminated, the processing restores to the transmission processing and the said transmission file is transmitted.
