SAFETY DEVICE FOR PROTECTING WORKER AT LIFT RAIL PIT

PURPOSE: A safety device is provided to make a worker safely work at a lift rail pit without uneasiness when maintaining an elevator. CONSTITUTION: A safety device contains a car(14) lifting along a guide rail(12) in a lifting road(10) and a winch lifting the car. A pit(12A) of the lifting road installs a first stop frictional device stopping the car with stop frictional force when the car descends from the bottom to the pit, by being installed in the guide rail. The first stop frictional device is composed of a frictional plate sticking to the four points of the guide rail with a bolt and a nut, and a safety supporting plate(30). The safety supporting plate installs a switch(50) for operating a winch brake of a second stop switching device and a handle for adjusting a certain gap upward and downward.
