NEW MATERIAL:The heterocyclic derivative of furmula I (R<1> is lower alkyl; R<2> is higher alkyl; R<3> is lower alkyl or higher alkyl;R<4> is H, lower alkyl, aryl or protected carboxy; X is acid residue; the compound of formula II is unsaturated N-containing heterocyclic compound or unsaturated S and N-containing heterocyclic compound; when the compound of formula II is thiazole and R<3> is higher alkyl, then R<4>is H, aryl, etc.). EXAMPLE:2-[3-(3-Heptyl-4-metyl-2,3-dihydro-2-thiazolylidene)-1-propeny l]-1-heptylpyridinium iodide. USE:It has immunoregulating activity such as anti-inflammatory action, etc., and is useful as a drug. It can be administered orally, parenterally or by external application.
