PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to eliminate maldistribution of a developer with simple constitution while maintaining the existing mechanical constitution and to make it possible to shorten an agitation time and to save the waste of the amount of the developer to be used by providing a transporting screw member with notched parts where the spiral vanes of a revolving shaft are partly lacked. SOLUTION: The transporting screw 53 is provided with the notched parts 101 and 102 where the two points of its spiral vanes are lacked. If the transportation of the developer 56 is carried out by rotating the transporting screw 53 having such notched parts 101 and 102, the developer 56 replenished from a developer replenishing tank to the transporting screw 53 of a transporting chamber is guided to the notched part 101 by the spiral vanes of the transporting screw 53. The developer 56 arriving at the notched part 101 is once stopped in the transportation by the presence of the notched part 101 and stagnates temporarily in the notched part 101. The stagnation of the developer in the notched parts 101 and 102 occurs in the manner described above. Such stagnation acts as the bias in the transportation and lessens the developer maldistribution which occurs heretofore. |
