SOLUTION: The front end of an IC card 32 is picked up by a rotating roller 6 and an idler 7, and the picked-up IC card 32 is sent toward a shutter 53. The sent IC card 32 is passed through a hook 34, the front end thereof is detected by a position sensor CP, an electric motor 38 is rotated backward, the roller 6 and idler 7 are rotated backward and in the state of connecting the pad of the IC card 32 to a contact C of a connector 22, data in the IC card 32 are processed.
