PURPOSE:To detect the position of a moving body precisely by forming light images of light beams from plural fixed light sources on a photodetecting element through a reflection mirror on a sphere provided onto the moving body, and measuring the positions and angles of the light images on the photodetecting body. CONSTITUTION:When the photodetecting element 2 is installed in parallel to the center axis 3 of the spherical body 3 as well as a light source 4a, the reflection mirror 3a is provided in a beltlike shape on the side opposite to the photodetecting element 3 on the surface of the spherical body 3 at a 45 deg. angle from the straight light connecting the light source 4a and spherical body 3. Light from the light source 4a is reflected by said reflection mirror 3a in the spherical beltlike shape on the moving body 1 to travel toward the photodetecting element 2, where a light image 12 is projected. The distances between the moving body 1 and fixed light sources and the angle of the moving body to the fixed light sources are calculated, and the position of the moving body is calculated from those values and known distances between the fixed light sources. |
