A 2-component (1:1) permanent dye for living human hair contains (I) a component with pH above 7, contg. p-toluene diamine and/or p-toluene diamine sulphate as oxidative dye, at least 1 coupling component, an alkanolamine, and at least 3 wt.% of an antioxidant, and (II) a 2nd component contg. 6-14 wt.% of H2O2. The 1:1 ratio is pref. by vol. Pref. antioxidant is Na2SO3.
