PURPOSE:To enable the rapid and continuous cooking of a large amount of grain, and obtain delicious cooked food, by heating the grain at the boiling temperature, immersing in boiling water, and blasting superheated steam to the grain thereby evaporating the free water from the surface of the grain. CONSTITUTION:Grains charged into the hopper 3 is heated with steam of about 100 deg.C blasted through the steam ejection pipe 42 in the course of being transferred with the conveyor belt 41. The heat-treated grains are transferred to the conveyor belt 52 in the immersion tank 5 to effect the absorption of water of about 100 deg.C into the grain. The soaked grain is transferred to the conveyor belt 61 in the steaming chamber 6, and blasted with superheated steam of 105 deg.C ejected from the steam-ejection pipe 62 in the course of being transported through the steaming chamber 6. |
