PURPOSE:To detect the position of a moving body precisely by providing >=3 fixed light emission sources outside the moving body, a conic reflection mirror on the moving body, and a TV camera and a video receiver, and performing arithmetic only on the moving body side. CONSTITUTION:Light incident from the fixed light emission sources A-C provided outside of the moving body 4 enters the TV camera 6 installed right under the conic reflecting mirror 5, and an image is displayed on the video receiver 7. The length of the image varies with the distance from a light emission source, but angles theta1 and theta2 are unchanged. An arithmetic processor 8 detects the position of the moving body on the basis of the image from the angles theta1 and theta2 of the moving body 4 to the fixed light emission sources A-C and the known distances L1 and L2 between the fixed light emission sources. Thus, the position self-detection of the moving body is carried out precisely by the arithmetic only on the moving body side, so the position control over the moving body is facilitated. |
