PURPOSE:To compensate display performance over the entire temperature range by storing a storage circuit with optimum compensation characteristics of a voltage supplied to a liquid-crystal display device to temperature, and reading an optimum compensated value on the basis of the temperature at which the liquid-crystal display device is held and controlling the voltage supplied to the liquid-crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 1 outputs an analog signal corresponding to temperature, and this signal is converted by an A/D converter 2 into a digital signal, which is supplied to a D/A converter 3. The D/A converter 3 reads the compensated value of the voltage to be supplied to the liquid-crystal display device 8 according to the temperature out of the storage circuit on the basis of the digital signal showing the temperature and converts it into an analog signal, which is supplied to a negative power source 4. Consequently, the negative power source 4 outputs a negative voltage corresponding to the supplied signal, so a driver 7 is supplied with a voltage determined by a positive power source 5 and the negative power source 4 after the voltage division of resistances 61-65, and its voltage is supplied to the liquid-crystal display 8. Thus, the D/A converter 3 sends out a signal for controlling the output voltage of the negative power source 4 according to the temperature. |
