PURPOSE:To simplify the entire constitution by decentralizing functions of an MODEM to plural signal processing processors. CONSTITUTION:A processor SP1 is operated in a fast sampling speed and a processor SP2 is operated in a slow coding frequency. Thus, the processing load by each processor is reduced, the amount of transfer information among the processors is decreased and the each processor is operated independently. As a result, the performance, structure and especially the limitation to interfacing with external devices of the signal processing processors are reduced and the entire constitution of the MODEM is simplified.
