CHARACTER BROADCAST RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To display the presence or absence of a character display by detecting the presence or absence of the character broadcast based on an SI/IN data included in an output of a character signal reception section. CONSTITUTION:A character broadcast presence or absence detecting/display circuit 6 is provided with a discriminating circuit 61, a driving cirlcuit 62 and a display circuit 63. Then the SI/IN data (service indentification code/interruption control code) included in the output of the character signal reception section 4 is applied to the detecting/display circuit 6 via a buffer memory 5. Then the discriminating circuit 61 in the detecting/display circuit 6 detects the presence or absence of character broadcast based on the applied SI/ IN data and when the circuit 61 discriminates the presence, the result is displayed on the display circuit 63 via the driving circuit 62. Thus the presence of the character broadcast is displayed.
