PURPOSE:To obtain abrasive grains having high strength and excellent grinding performance, by adding vitrified bonding agent to mixed abrasive grains of silicon carbide abrasive grains and fused alumina abrasive grains where specific ratio of vanadium trioxide is dissolved then hardened under specific burning temperature. CONSTITUTION:Mixed abrasive grains of silicon carbide and fused alumina abrasive grains deformed by adding 0.6-2.0% of vanadium trioxide is added with binding agent to be vitrified under the burning temperature of 950-1,180 deg.C and molded to produce raw abrasive grains which are burnt under the temperature of 950-1,180 deg.C to obtain vitrified abrasive grains. Such abrasive grains have sufficient strength and binding force to exhibit epoch-making grinding performance for metal material hard to grind.
