PURPOSE:To quicken the reading speed by installing plural optical reading elements with a prescribed interval in the direction of sub-scanning so as to conduct the scanning of plural lines at the same time. CONSTITUTION:The optical reading elements 11-15 arranged in the lengthwise (sub-scanning) direction of an original carried by a stepping motor scan simultaneously the original in the main scanning direction when the original comes to a stop at a prescribed position. Then the electric charge stored in the elements 11-15 is read sequentially, amplified 16a-16e and stored in RAMs 21-25 in a memory section 20. Then the read of print information of the RAMs 21-25 is started by a control command when a transmission start command signal (q) is given, signals (f), (h), (i) and (j) are read sequentially and outputted from an OR circuit 26 to a coding section 30. |
