PURPOSE:To permit the intake of surface water under a fixed water pressure at a fixed depth regardless of the variations in the water depth by providing a float, an intake port, and an intake amount control valve to the tip of an intake vertical tube pivotally supported on the bottom of a dam. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 6 is provided to a reinforcing wall 4 projected from the gate 3 of an intake port 2 on the bottom of a dam 1, and a communication tube 8 is led to the intake port 2 through the rotary coupling of the bearing 6. One end of the rotary coupling 7 is led to one end of an intake vertical tube 9 whose other end is provided with a float 12 and an intake port 14, together with an intake amount control valve 22 which is operated by a handle 21 on the dam 1. Surface warm water can thus be taken while controlling the amount of water taken under a fixed water pressure at a fixed depth regardless of the variations in the depth of the surface water. |
