Caravan window locking mechanism - has pivoting arm resiliently fitted to acrylic glass window pane

The rigid plastics locking arm (1) is pivotally connected by means of a spindle (2) to a hinge support (3). This in turn is secured to an acrylic glass window pane (4). The hinge support has a section (5) of elastomer rubber and a box-shaped retainer of rigid plastics. The thickness of a resilient plate is slightly more than the side wall of a holder (6). Screws (10) enter an internal sleeve (14) and are retained by a backing plate (15). A rubber plate (16) fits between the acrylic panel and the locking plate.
