PURPOSE:To realize multiplexed logic storage with a small quantity of hardware in a short input-output overhead time with a multiplexed logic space system, by making an area exclusively used for input-output composed of a window buffer correspond to the data area of a user program and holding the address conversion table of the window buffer even when the user program is changed over. CONSTITUTION:When an input is requested, an operating system makes a win dow 44 correspond to a main storage area 48 by securing the window 44 in an idle area in a window buffer 43 and setting address conversion data in an address conversion table 53 for window. Then the operating system appoints an input-output device 54 to use the logical address of the window 44 secured now as a destination address. Therefore, data transfer can be performed correctly without receiving any influences even when a program is changed over. Since a window corresponds to a main storage when an input-output is requested in this case, it is not necessary to prepare a main storage area for window and multiplexed logic storage can be realized with a small capacity. |
