PURPOSE:To judge the presence of the ending operation miss, and to reduce the loss time, by actuating a yarn sensor placed in an end-holding tube at a time when the yarn end is to be transferred to the tube, and checking the presence of the yarn. CONSTITUTION:A yarn sensor 50 is placed in a part of the end-holding tube 28, and is actuated just after the step most liable to cause the ending miss. The absence (failure in ending step) or presence of the yarn end is judged by the signal from the photo-receptor element 52. When the yarn end is present, the yarn is transferred to the next step to continue the ending operation, and when there is no yarn end, the yarn end is transferred again from the end-sucking tube 21 to the end-holding bube 28, and the presence of the yarn is checked by the sensor 50. |
