PURPOSE:To improve an engine brake effect as well as to make improvements in running stability, by operating an actuator for rear wheel braking on the basis of a torque reaction that works on a main shaft connected to an engine in time of operating an engine brake. CONSTITUTION:During running, when an engine 1 comes into a state of being engine-braked, the torque imposed on both a main shaft 3 connected to the engine 1 and an axle works reversely with strong force. A torque sensor 5 detects this torque reaction working on the main shaft 3 and inputs it into a microcomputer 6 which transmits an operating signal to an actuator 12 when the torque reaction becomes more than the setting value. The actuator 12 drives a master cylinder 11 and operates a braking device 18 for a rear wheel 7. Likewise, a heat sensor 13 of the braking device 8 detects temperature in the braking device 8 and transmits the detected temperature to a microcomputer 14 which releases the operation of the actuator 12 when this temperature exceeds the specified value. |
