PURPOSE:To facilitate transferring a yarn by disposing two yarn collecting guides for moving a yarn outside the range of a traverse at positions downstream and upstream of a bobbin at a winding position in a winder where a yarn is taken up by two spindles alternately. CONSTITUTION:When a yarn Y is formed as a full-load package P on a bobbin B on a spindle at a take-up position (a), a turret is rotated in a 180 deg. arc together with an oscillating device 20, so that a cylinder 25 is brought into contact with the yarn Y to keep the yarn Y out of contact with an empty bobbin B. Subsequently, the cylinder 25 is simultaneously operated to move yarn collecting guides 15, 16 to the outermost (to the left), so that the yarn is moved outwardly to run along a slit. In such a condition, the oscillating device 20 is turned to the left to force the yarn to engage with the slit. Thus, the yarn Y is cut between the empty bobbin B and a package P to start the initial winding on a slit. |
