PURPOSE:To temporarily store steel bands easily and certainly by installing a supporting apparatus consisting of a holding roll and a magnet over the traveling passage for a loop can for supporting the steel band loop and installing a touch roll which can be raised from and lowered onto the loop car. CONSTITUTION:A loop car 12 is operated to store steel bands 12 which are feed successively when a part of a continuous steel-band processing line is temporarily stopped. A supporting apparatus 50 which is supported at a prescribed intervals onto a structure 52 is installed over the travelling passage for the loop car 12. Said supporting apparatus 50 is constituted by installing a magnet 56 between two holding rolls 54, and a steel-band loop 1 is attracted by the attraction force of the magnet 56 and held by the holding roll 54. While, a touch roll 60 is installed rotatably onto the top edge of a lever 6 which is turned by a jack 66, and attraction and holding for the steel band 2 by the magnet 56 is facilitated by the touch roll 60. |
