And, at any crimping from the second time one on, the total height of a captioned battery is made the same as that at preceeding crimping. In such a way, it is possible to reduce the height of the positive electrode can in a state with little deformation of the negative electrode can to permit the insulating gasket to be sufficiently compressed, thus enabling a sealing property and so resistance to fluid leakage to be improved.
