1. Method for the manufacture of a carburettor float which can be assembled from two hollow parts (12, 16) of plastics material, in which the hollow parts are arranged in holding members (14, 18) adapted to their shape, with their edges which are to be welded lying opposite each other, the edges (20) are plasticized by means of a heating plate (32) arranged for a time therebetween without contact, and after removal of the heating plate are brought together such that the edges join together exclusively in their plasticized zones, characterized in that the edges of the hollow parts (12, 16; 46, 48) which are to be welded are wedge shaped with wedge tips facing towards each other, and as toroidal, circular collars, which are inserted into a corresponding circular, annular recess in the surface region of the holding members (14, 18). |
