PURPOSE:To provide an impregnating agent which has excellent impregnating characteristics and resistance to heat and cold and can impart lubricating characteristics to the surfaces of impregnated materials, by blending a fine inorg. material powder and a perfluoroolefin surfactant with a specified bonding dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION:At least one fine inorg. material powder selected from among boron nitride, aluminum oxide, molybdenum sulfide, antimony oxide, cadmium chloride, niobium sulfide, zirconium sulfide, molybdenum selenide, graphite and clay is blended with a bonding dispersion medium composed of a monomer or oligomer of a thermosetting resin or aluminum phosphate soln. Further, a perfluoroolefin surfactant is added thereto. The curing rate of the resulting impregnating agent can be improved by adding a crosslinking agent. Examples of such agents are benzoyl peroxide, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide and octanol peroxide.
