PURPOSE:To provide a titled sizing agent having excellent bundling property of glass fibers and affinity to a resin by incorporating a film forming agent consisting of a vinyl acetate/unsatd. peroxycarbonate copolymer and a silane coupling agent therein. CONSTITUTION:(A) An unsatd. monomer contg. at least 70wt% vinyl acetate and (B) the unsatd. peroxycarbonate expressed by the formula (R<1> is H, 1-4C alkyl; R<2>, R<3> are 1-4C alkyl; R<4> are 1-12C alkyl, 3-12C cycloalkyl) (e.g.; t-butyl peroxyallyl carbonate) are copolymerized to prepare a copolymer. A film forming agent consisting of said copolymer and a coupling agent (e.g.; vinyl trimethoxysilane) are incorporated in a sizing agent as effective components and further a crosslinking assistant, lubricant, antistatic agent, etc. are incorporated therein according to need, whereby the intended sizing agent for treating glass fibers is obtd.
