PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid from dropping out of the lower part of the return side in a hinge conveyer by providing an elastic member which is disposed at a discharge port on the return side and is elastically deformed toward the lower side by the entrance or deposition of solid on the edge part of the return side. SOLUTION: When a hinge conveyer is started, chips G on a hinge plate of the transport side 5a are transported and naturally drop at a turning portion to be recovered. The chips G partially sticking between roller fitting plates on the return side to remain temporarily eat into a space between an elastic member 15 and the edge part of the roller fitting plate. When the hinge conveyer is further driven in the return direction from such a state, the elastic member 15 is elastically deformed to a broken-line position by the chips G. As a result, the chips G do not advance further and drop downward as it is by dead load thereof.
