PICTURE MEMORY AND ITS WRITING METHOD

PURPOSE:To increase the writing speed by allotting addresses successively to plural memories to obtain a write-only plane and changing the allotment of addresses of said memories in response to the odd or even raster. CONSTITUTION:A picture memory consisting of a write-only plane and a read- only plane and the write- only plane consists of at least (n) units of memories. With a picture memory of such a constitution, the write signal of A is delivered to one of (n) units of memories. Then the write signal of B is delivered to another memory with a time delay equivalent to 1/n cycle time of (n) units of memories. Hereafter the write signals are delivered to memories A - D successively with the same time delay. Thus data are written to these memories. Furthermore the address allotting way is changed among those memories in response to the odd or even raster. Therefore the vectors of even longitudinal and oblique directions can be written at a higher speed than the memory cycle time.
