PURPOSE: A cable assembly for data transmission between a computer mainframe and a monitor is provided to allow fast screen organizations by improving the data transmission speed between the computer mainframe and the monitor, to connect the computer mainframe to the monitor even if they are apart by more than ten meters, and to be less affected by the EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) regulations. CONSTITUTION: A cable(20) includes a multiple number of fiber optics cable(22) and lead wires(24) that are covered by an outer skin with plugs(30) on each end. An electric/optic conversion connector(40a) possesses an electric/optic converter(46a) that connects to the computer mainframe's plug and converts an electric signal that is transmitted by the computer mainframe into an optic signal. An optic/electric conversion connector(40b) possesses an optic/electric converter that connects to the monitor's plug and converts an optic signal into an electric signal.
