PURPOSE:To enable to repeatedly transfer a dye easily with favorable sensitivity, by a method wherein a resin material containing a dye and a material capable of melting the dye when being heated is used as a tansfer-type thermal recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:The transfer-type thermal recording sheet 4 comprises a backing material 1 coated with a resin material 6 containing a dye 5 mixed or melted therein together with a material capable of melting the dye 5 when being heated. When the sheet 4 is heated from above the backing material 1, a portion of the dye 5 contained in the resin material 6 is melted into the material capable of melting the dye, and melted out to a transfer-type thermal recording medium, thereby recording. The material capable of melting the dye when being heated is preferably clycerol or a glycol such as diethylene glycol and triethylene glycol. |
