PURPOSE:To execute a connection without executing a change of specifications of a computer side by an operation at the time of opening and closing a switch in the connecting mechanism, if a general computer satisfies one connecting spacifications, by incorporating a serial/parallel input/output device switching mechanism in the connecting mechanism to a general computer of an automatic werehouse. CONSTITUTION:A switching system of automatic switching/manual switching of both a serial input/output device 10 and a parallel input/output device 20 is selected by a switch 46 in a switching circuit 40. In this case, automatic switching by a selecting signal line 1 form an autmatic warehouse control device 30 can be executed when the switch 46 is closed. Also, when the switch 46 is opened, manual switching by a switch 45 can be executed. In this case,the automatic switching signifies a remote switching instruction based on an instruction outputted from the control device 30 basing on an information which is recevied from a general computer through the serial input/output device 10 or the parallel input/ output device 20, inputted to the automatic warehouse control device 30 from a signal line 4, and decoded.
