PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fin material having superior corrosion resistance, satisfactory heat resistance and workability by providing a specified composition consisting of Pb, one or more among Zn, Al, Ni, Fe, Ag, Sn, Sb and Cr, and Cu. CONSTITUTION:This fin material for a radiator for a car consists of 0.001- 0.05% Pb, 0.01-0.08% one or more among Zn, Al, Ni, Fe, Ag, Sn, Sb and Cr, and the balance Cu, and it has especially improved corrosion resistance. Pb improves the corrosion resistance, yet >0.05% Pb causes embrittlement and makes working difficult. <0.01% Pb is not effective in improving the heat resistance. When each of Zn, Al, Ni, Fe, Ag, Sn, Sb and Cr is added to Cu, the corrosion resistance of Cu is improved. Oxygen-free copper of high purity contg. <=about 50ppm O2 is preferably used as base Cu.
