The parcel transfer device comprises a horizontal metal plate 1 of rectangular shape, and two uprights 7 and 8 mounted on the longitudinal middle part of the plate, with, on one side, a visor-shaped transparent movable shutter 12 rotatable about an axis O and with, on the other side, a tailboard-shaped metal shutter 16 pivotable about a second axis O1. The parcel transfer device comprises means for blocking the simultaneous opening of the shutters 12 and 16. These means consist of the upper part 17 of the tailboard 16, the upper longitudinal edge of the visor 12 and the inner wall of the visor 12. A window 19 is provided in the vertical wall 18 of the tail board 16 for the lengthwise passage of the parcels. This parcel transfer device is intended to be used in a bank in barrier systems, especially in post offices. <IMAGE>
