PURPOSE:To attach and detach automatically a roll pushing-pulling hook by incorporating rolls into a rolling stand then attaching and detaching the roll pushing-pulling hook by moving upward and downward the rail in a rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower work rolls 8, 7 and upper and lower intermediate roll assembles 9, 6 are superposed and are drawn from the position (d) to the position (d') of a changing carriage 17. The rolls are exchanged again with fresh rolls in the position (d). The roll assembly 6 has wheels 12 and therefore said assembly travels on an inside rail 14 and the rail 16 on the carriage 17. A hook 13 is provided to the assembly 6 and a rotatable hook 25 is mounted to the block 24 at the top end of the rod 23 of a hydraulic cylinder 22. The hooks 13 and 25 are attached and detached by the upward and downward movement of the rail 14, by which the assembly 6 is drawn out together with both work rolls 8, 7 and the upper intermediate roll assembly placed thereon onto the carriage 17 and thereafter the fresh rolls are mounted in the stand of the rolling mill. |
