PURPOSE:To enlarge gas pressure control range in a gas storage tank and increase the storage gas volume, by a method wherein means for forcing a mixed gas selectively from a tank to a gas storage tank or in reverse direction is installed. CONSTITUTION:Heat generated from a transformer 1 increases thereby temperature of a mixed gas 3 and a liquid 4 rises and gas pressure in a tank 2 increases. If the gas pressure in the tank is higher than that in a gas storage tank 10b, the gas is discharged into the gas storage tank 10b so as to hold the gas pressure in the tank 2 to a prescribed upper limit value. If the pressure is low, a compressor 25 is started and the gas is forced from the tank 2 into the gas storage tank 10b so as to hold the gas pressure in the tank to the upper limit value. On the contrary, load of the transformer 1 is reduced and the gas temperature is lowered, the gas pressure in the tank 2 is held to prescribed lower limit value by reverse operation to that above-described.
