The door is constructed from a number of upright channel sections (2,3,4) which are open at the door outer limiting edges (10a,19). At least one part of some channel section has apertures (16) facing towards the combustion chamber. - A glass pane (5) can be fotted in the door, and the apertures or air gaps (16) leading to the combustion chamber are provided at the pane upper and lower edges. The passage of air thus provided cools the glass pane, and prevents the deposit of soot on it.(5) |
