PURPOSE:To enhance preservability, particularly, abrasion resistance, of a record, by a method wherein a material provided with a heat-polymerizable resin material comprising at least one of a pigment and a dye is used as a transfer- type thermal recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:The transfer-type thermal recording sheet 4 comprises a backing material 1 coated with a heat-polymerizable resin material 6 containing at least one 5 of a pigment and a dye mixed or melted therein. When the sheet 4 is heated from above the backing material, the resin material 6 containing at least the one 5 of the pigment and the dye is melted out onto a transfer-type thermal recording material, and then the melted resin material is polymerized by heating, thereby recording. The heat-polymerizable resin material is preferably constituted of at least one unsaturated prepolymer having at least two polymerizable unsaturated groups in its molecule, or a mixture of the unsaturated prepolymer with a vinyl monomer, to which a thermal polymerization initiator and a thermal polymerization inhibitor are added. |
