PURPOSE:To lower applied voltage while maintaining the quantity of shrinkage of a piezoelectric material by using the winding constitution of stacked and arranged electrodes and the high molecular piezoelectric material. CONSTITUTION:High molecular composite-material piezoelectric materials (fine powders of PZT are mixed with polyvinylidene fluoride) or thin filmy high molecular piezoelectric materials (such as polyvinylidene fluoride, polyvinylidene cyanide, etc.) 11, 12 are stacked while the directions of polarization are opposed. Electrodes 211, 212 are each evaporated on the upper and lower surfaces of these materials 11, 12. Foil electrodes 31-33 are each drawn out of the upper surface, intermediate surface and lower surface of the element while being bonded with conductive adhesives, and voltage is applied between a lead wire 42 formed by unifying the electrodes 31 and 33 and a lead wire 41 from the electrode 32. Accordingly, the element is expanded and contracted in the direction of expansion and contraction AR1. The element is manufactured in long size in the width direction AR2 and wound, and fixed by bands 51, 52 thus forming a film stack. |
