A transmission method for font data can detect omitted data or compensate for it and expand its capacity according to the increase of transmitted data. The font data is divided into row or column dots with constant numbers and is transmitted with added signal points that show the start and end of the font data. The signal point coincides with the address counter and in transmitted in a divided state.
