Convertible motor vehicle roof has rear roof element pivoted on front roof element, not on vehicle body

The roof has a front roof element (3) pivoted on the vehicle body via levers (11,12), a rear element (4), pivoted over the roof element, and a rear storage space (6) for both elements. The rear element is held pivoted via connecting rods (21,22) on the roof element and/or on the lever system, but not on the vehicle body. The two levers of the system form a four-linkage-mechanism. To increase useable space when the roof is closed, a base of the roof storage box is removeable.
