PURPOSE:To obtain the spring constant suitable for a running condition, by varying the spring constant of a rubber mounting through an influence of the pressure of liquid due to the fixed displacement of the rubber mounting. CONSTITUTION:A bellows 11, mounting on a part of its upper surface a damper 10, for instance, rubber, is horizontally mounted to an intermediate part in the hollow part of a rubber mounting 2. When a vehicle runs on a rough road, the rubber mounting 2 and liquid in a liquid chamber 12 are compressed by the displacement of a bottom plate 1' in the upward direction. Compression of this liquid causes the central part of the bellows 11 to extend upward, and the damper 10 is brought in contact with the bottom surface of an upper plate 1. In this way, the rubber mounting 2 is no more compressed, accordingly the spring constant of the rubber mounting 2 rapidly increases. At running on a smooth road and/or at idling when the damper 10 is not brought in contact with the bottom surface of the upper plate 1, the spring constant of the rubber mounting 2 is left holding a small value as set. |
