PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy and efficiency of welding by providing floatably a welding head while said head is kept elastically repulsive in lateral and vertical directions and constituting the head in such a way that the mis-alignment between a tube and the welding head can be absorbed in the stage of inserting a guide fitting into the tube. CONSTITUTION:A head fixture 50 is floatably attached by means of an elastic material to a hanger 70. The fixture 50 moves consequently relatively with the hanger 70 and the error in a horizontal direction is absorbed by the elastic material. Since the hanger 70 is floatably attached by means of a spring to a cylinder frame 51, the hanger 70 moves vertically relatively with the frame 51, by which the error in a vertical direction is absorbed. The deviation in parallelism between a heat transmitting tube and the guide fitting 91 at the top end of a welding head 90 is absorbed according to the advance of the fitting 91 into the heat transmitting tube as the fixture 80 of the head 90 is suspended to a suspending shaft provided with a spring and is joined to a cylinder frame having circularly- arcuate front and rear ends.
