For a first position P A, B R of the electronic directional control valve 17, the pressurised fluid is sent to a first chamber 8 of the jack 6 in order to displace the rod of the jack in a given direction. The fluid contained in the second chamber 9 of the jack is removed to a chamber 25 of a regulation device 18 in order to displace a free piston 30 opening, in its final position, a communication allowing the fluid to return to the hydraulic unit. For a second position P B, A R of the electronic directional control valve 17, the pressurised fluid is sent into the regulation device 18 in order to push the free piston 30 from the final position obtained previously into an abutment position determined by an adjustable stop 21 and to send the fluid contained in the chamber 25 lying between the said two positions of the free piston into the second chamber 9 of the jack in order to displace the latter in the opposite direction from the direction of displacement obtained in the previous operation. The fluid displaced from the first chamber 8 of the jack returns to the hydraulic unit. <IMAGE>
