The present invention relates to traffic ways, such as roads, slabs, or the like, formed by at least one layer of mix made up of sands, gravel-sand mixtures, and of a hydraulic binder such as blast furnace slag, and which, under the effect of low temperatures, are subjected to contractions resulting in cracks. According to the invention, a multiplicity of depressions 16 are formed at the surface of the supporting ground 10, a layer of mix is spread so as to form a strip and, before compacting the said strip, parallel panels P, which are evenly spaced and comprise longitudinal undulations on either side of a central plane, are inserted transversely into this strip, the length and width of the said panels P being less respectively than the width and thickness of the said strip.
