<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a compound having an N atom into which a difluromethyl group is introduced, by reacting an organic N-containing compound with chlorodifluoromethane in the presence of a basic catalyst in a strongly polar solvent. CONSTITUTION:An organic N-containing compound is reacted with chlorodifluoromethane in the presence of a basic catalyst (e.g., alkali metal hydroxide, carbonate, bicarbonate) by the use of an aprotic solvent having high polarity at 50-120 deg.C, to give a compound into which an N-difluoromethyl group is introduced (e.g., 1-difluoromethyl-1,2,4-triazole is obtained from 1,2,4-triazole). The solvent has preferably >=15 dielectric constant, >=2.5 dipole moment, and 40-47Etau (30) value, one of solvent polarity parameter, and MDSO, DMF, ethylene carbonate, etc. may cited as the solvent.</p> |
