PURPOSE:To enable measurement of knocking generation state easily and accurately by accurately detecting a knocking signal corresponding to a knocking generated during the operation of an engine. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a 4-cylinder engine, an ignition signal is generated in CA at a crank rotation angle of 180 deg.. The interval of the ignition signal related to the rotational speed of the engine is counted with a counter 12 and measured, latched and memorized into a latch circuit 13 for each ignition signal. Then, an ignition noise is generated from a vibration sensor 27 corresponding to the timing of the ignition signal while a knocking signal is detected at the position specified by the crank angle. A masking signal is generated to control a switching gate circuit 26 with a flip flop circuit 24 corresponding to the generation range of the signal. This eliminates the signal portion of ignition noise or the like detected with a vibration sensor 27 thereby ensuring the detection of a knocking signal alone corresponding to knocking and the knocking signal is fed to a knocking measuring section. |
